Grazia magazine is looking for new some insiders and I really want to become part of that community. In my eyes the ultimate Grazinista lives in Paris (I’m obsessed much no?). And these pictures embodies everything I love about the way Parisian women dress. It also reminds me of how much I miss being in la belle Paris myself... They know what style is and are always looking good. French chic = perfect, Oh my!

But how to dress like a Parisian?

Pull&Bear printed canvas bags.

Last friday I was invited for the openings party from Pull&Bear in Rotterdam. Now I have to admit, I had not stepped inside a Pull&Bear store ever before, but I was completely impressed with the brand (especiallly the knitwear was really fantastic). This brandnew flagship store in Rotterdam is the largest, greenest and smartest one in the world (1.000 square meters) and is surely one to see!

During this store opening, I had the opportunity to shop with 20% discount. Pretty cool if you ask me. I bought the first knitted sweater (so soft!) and the black/white two toned top as well. I show you some outfit pictures with these items very soon :)

Yes, scents can have affect on your mood... A nice smell in your room is as important as a great perfume for everyday use. First I always placed scented candles in my room, because decorating with candles was a great way to add atmosphere. But now I discovered soy scents in fabulous fragrances. Beside that they smell wonderful, the soy wax holds scent better and it burns 30-50% longer than paraffin wax candles. I love them burning, so I immediately light them as soon as I come home. Even if it isn't dark ;)

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I was lacking of inspiration and also because I’m feel a bit hesitant about posting outfits sometimes... But for now, I will try to do my best to find a good balance between outfit and inspiration posts + to blog more frequently… Anyway, this I what I've been wearing today. The cold is starting to set in, so I can finally wear my new jumpers. This dark green one is from A.P.C. and I think the colour is really nice and it's incredibly warm too.

Let me just state that I'm in no way a make-up expert, I just know what I like and what works for me and my red/dry skin. And since some of you have mailed for a make-up post to hid the red skin, I thought I'd do a quick one with my base face routine! Which is basically a pre-primed and moisturized face, so well here it goes...

I use prep + prime skin brightening serum and stobe cream for an iridescence glow for my skin. These two products makes my skin feels very soft with no greasy after feel to it. After that I apply camouflage to hide dark circles and blemishes. For foundation, I've been using studio sculpt for years. I have the concealer one shade lighter than my foundation to get the right coverage and colour for my skin. I don't know if you're supposed to do that, but there's nothing worst than foundation that doesn't match your neck. So don’t just pick a random colour foundation, but get yourself some professional advice. I really love the sculpt foundation, it's creamy and it gives a natural satin finish. And last but definitely not least I use prep + prime transparent finishing powder for an 'airbrushed' effect!

Last Tuesday I visited the oBooi! Lingerie Fitting Store, which opened it's doors in mid-February at the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven. A special thing about oBooi! is that they are fully equipped for the needs of women. Besides that the collection consists a large selection of the world's most popular lingerie and swimwear brands from around the world... I do believe that gorgeous underwear is about comfort and a new kind of confidence that only can come from yourself. It makes me feel much more confident and slightly sexy! It was something special about wearing high heeled boots for the first time in months. It felt good to get up in the height again to breathe in tall people’s air ;-) My life isn’t full of interesting things to tell about from day to day. Still I really appreciate and enjoy the chance to do even the smallest every day things. By that I mean for example being able to go to school, meet people, to have a place where I belong... Sounds cheesy but I really enjoy every good moment to the fullest. I’m happy :)

I'm possibly just a little bit Toast addled at the moment... The clothes of this newly discovered favourite brand of mine are very appealing to me! It may have something to do with the clean lines, the lack of superfluous details, the lovely autumnal colours. I'm especially drawn to navy, black and the deep purple tones.

I would love to wear the above white shirt, underneath the dark purple jumper/sweater, perhaps paired with black skinny trousers and suede ballet flats. I also love the 100% organic canvas bag, which will be big enough to carry all the stuff. Iro Asella wool sparkle jacket

As you could read in my previous blogpost, I was invited to the chic and renown outlet shopping hotspot of Maasmechelen Village to celebrate “10 years in style” with their ambassadress Anouck Lepère (which is one of Belgian’s most famous top models). We started the day at the headquarters, followed by some shopping in the village and a small interview with Anouck. In this interview she mainly talked about one of the causes she is currently championing: Kageno. This charity is operating in Kenya and Rwanda and their mission is to transform these communities into places of opportunity and give them hope. After that is was time for the big party and the 'Fashion in Style' auction (where the entire proceeds will be donated to Kageno). All in all I had a wonderful day, so a huge thank you to the Simply PR team for the amazing organisation!

I'm literally kicking myself for not visiting LaDurée the last time I was in Luxemburg two weeks ago. Due to an hectic schedule I had to pass it up even though ;-) LaDurée is famous for inventing the double decker macaron cookies. (Supposedly they sell 15,000 cookies everyday!) They tasted so good and the packaging is too pretty. I still have the box, because I just can't throw it away… Pistachio is my favorite flavoured one and the vanilla sended me into a sweet coma. I’ve tried lots of macarons but these are by far the best, Yum!

The family and I celebrated my Mums birthday a few days early (her real birthday was yesterday) and headed to France for a relaxing weekend. This picture is taken on the Dabo rock. This rocky block of 30 metres in height in Dabo offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surroundings. And it has a beautiful small chapel at the top. It was the perfect (and most satisfying) way to ring in the new week!

Last Wednesday I visited the new Levi's Curve ID pop-up store at the Kalverstraat 101 in Amsterdam. I was very glad that Unlimited PR gave me the opportunity to try out this revolutionary system. Because it finally means: no more trouble with finding jeans that fit! This system has three different fits: 'Slight Curve, Demi Curve and Bold Curve'. A employee of Levi's measured my waist, bum and hips to determine which fit I needed. Which turned out to be a Demi curve. And the result: a jeans which fitted and suited my body type perfectly! You’ll see me wearing this jeans very soon, really can’t wait to show you! P.s: the store at Kalverstraat 101 is open until October 2!

Yesterday was the best day so far. It’s hard to see on the pictures, as they were taken while it was raining. But it was quite warm, considering the fact that I live in the Netherlands. I replaced my 100 denier tights with some thin ones instead. It was wonderful! But don’t be fooled -I added a chunky wool bouclé jacket outside. Owning jewellery which you can wear all the time is priceless. The one piece I wear every single day without fail is my tiny pool necklace from Etsy, absolutely love it! Another pieces I wear almost everyday are my bracelets... The ones I wear are depending on my mood at that moment. I can only wear real sterling silver, as my skin reacts with cheaper metals or plated metals. Not liking gold jewellery on myself. I prefer to stick with silver, because it goes better with my skin tone. I think every woman needs a piece of jewellery she can wear all the time. What kind of jewellery do you wear everyday?

This is an outfit I've been wearing a lot over the past week. The shorts for example... I wear it constantly, and by constantly I mean that almost every outfit I put together revolves around this item. Yesterday I wore it with this Zara jacket and flats. Something simple and chic, which is easy to throw on in the mornings with little thought process yet without the slumminess that early morning outfit nonchalance can sometimes lead to.

The sweet team over at Nineteen PR hosted an adorable and delicious press brunch event for Conley's last Tuesday. Conley's offers a wide range of women's and men's fashion of highest quality. They elaborate selection of top fashion labels as well as of designer newcomers from all over the world. This brunch was completed with sandwiches, truffles, lemonade and little presents. Last Wednesday I went to Utrecht for a little shopping spree. One of the stores I will not walk past is Zolamanola (located at Mariaplaats 2). A beautiful store with brands like: Isabel Marant, Vanessa Bruno, Hope and A.P.C. I purchased two items that day... A beautiful brown merino wool sweater and a blue hem white T-shirt. That they both were on sale made it even better! Too bad my battery was empty, so photos will follow later this week.

These buys actually reminded me to take a look at APC's website . Because it's been so long since I checked that site. I came across these beautiful Pre-Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook outfits and items (pictured above).
I have to admit, I'm in love with the coats, sweaters and shirts. They are simple, comfortable and wearable. That's why this brand has become famous for creating!

Pretty similar to the outfit entry with the Acne sweater, but this outfit is with a sweater by Zara. I grabbed this silver lurex sweater (although it looks more grey in these pictures) at the Zara kids department and it is a nice alternative. While it's not the brand I usually look for when I want to buy new sweaters, their latest creations are really appealing to me.

I love my shoe collection and I love to make lists as well. So I thought it would be a cool to share mine favourite shoes with you. It was not that easy, but I made it to make a final top three. So there we go!

1)Isabel Marant suede ankle boots
Well, these beautiful soft suede boots are chic, versatile and great for daywear. They are as glued to my feet and bring a nonchalant and less predictable touch to all of my outfits. Besides that, the taupish color make them phenomenal! And they are perfectly walkable as well, thanks to the small heel!

2) Black Repetto flats
Believe me or not. I tried on so many sorts of flats... But these black beauties really belongs to my most comfortable shoes. Especially the buttery, hand-hewn leather make them fantastic! And the best thing is: they become more prettier after the longer you wearing them ♥

3)Acne pistol boots
Well, here we have a other little masterpiece. As you know, I love ankle boots with a good walkable heel. So if you still have to find a good pair of black boots, go for these! The quality and comfort has made them a true classic in my wardrobe.

One little top: All of these shoes have a leather sole. So wear them for a few weeks to rough up the soles. Then take them to your cobbler for a pre-emptive resoling. I've had a new sole placed on each one of these and it's just extra insurance that the shoe will last.
It's money extremely well spent!

Yesterday I was sent two little packages. One from an online store and one from Dead Fleurette's blogshop. Inside was this gorgeous A.P.C denim shirt and my beloved Acne Ruth twisted sweater. The shirt has the perfect lovely cut and is very soft for denim fabric. The sweater reminded me of this Zara one. I like how the fit of this sweater seems to be longer at the back than it is at the front. You will definitely see some outfit shots with these items soon :)

Well, the 15th edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week is over... I saw seven shows in two days (Friday and Sunday), was amazed by some and disappointed by a few. Either way, I missed the glamour that often goes hand in hand with fashion week. Having said that, there were definitely some great shows like: Charlotte Kan with with a project called Play & Pose, the breathtaking outdoor show of Sage & Ivy where the models were walking on a catwalk in water and last but not least the spectacular show from Club BRILLANT.

I just love these two sweaters by Acne. I like sweaters that are a bit oversized and I think especially the first one is perfect! Unfortunately they're too expensive for me at the moment and besides that… I recently purchased a chunky knitted sweater from Etoile Isabel Marant. GOODIES FOR MY SKIN

MAC studio moiture fix, Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, Body Shop moisture, Kiehl's ultra facial cleanser, toner and midnight concentrate.

Let me just state that I am in no way a expert, I just know what works for my dry and sensitive skin. And since some of you have asked for a skincare post, I thought I'd do a quick one! So here it goes... First up I use Kiehl's ultra facial cleanser to cleanse my face. This cleanser is very gentle, so perfect for my dry skin in general. On top of that I use the Kiehl's ultra facial toner. This toner basically makes my skin feel fresh and much cleaner. It doesn't contain alcohol, which isn't good for your skin.

The thirth product is my moisturiser. I love the Bodyshop Vitamin E moisture cream. I've been using it for years. Inexpensive and the texture is amazing. The scent is amazing as well, I know that some people prefer unscented products when they have a sensitive skin. But this one never made a difference with me. When I apply my make up, I use the MAC studio moisture fix as a primer. Because my nose and forhead are oily (even though the rest of my face is dry... doesn't make sense to me).

Next is Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which Dead-Fleurette raved about. I really love the smell and I use it every night before I go to sleep. After I started using this, my skin has shown improvement. And last but not least Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream. I use it for my lips, blemishes, dry skin patches, you name it. It really does work on everything!

1) Balenciaga city noir
I'm really devoted to my Balenciaga bags (I already have two city's: one in cream and one in tan). What I love about them is that I can wear them over the shoulder, carrying on my arm or in my hand. I had been eyeing PS1 (see my post HERE) and many others IT bags, but I always come back to Balenciaga. So this one will be my next expensive buy.

2) White collarless jacket
I have wanted a fitted white/beige jacket for quite a while, but I find it so hard to find a quality jacket that actually fits me properly. This one of Isabel Marant is just perfection! I love her designs and I have been eyeing this jacket for a long time.

3) Light blue skinny jeans
I really do have difficulties with finding the perfect jeans for myself. Not that I am picky or something, but I can't spot the right ones. I am looking for a skinny jeans in the perfect light blue washing and fit. I know that Cheap Monday and Acne have nice ones, but do you have any other suggestions regarding jeans brands?

4) Classic parka jacket
I know these can look too casual but I have seen it worn very chicly, plus it would be very useful for rainy Holland. Althought it's a little bit late to invest in one, because summer is approaching. So I just have to wait till the sales starts!

When it comes to classic fashion, the white shirt is hard to beat. It's a versatile piece and offers many different looks. It's fresh, clean and timeless. No wonder that it belongs to the top 10 wardrobe must-haves. White doesn't stay white forever, so be prepared to buy some new white shirts when your old ones get dingy. The good news is that this makes it easier to stay in style, as shirt silhouettes are constantly evolving.

I'm still searching for the perfect one. Especially the right white shade, fit and material are very important for me. So I tried several white shirts of the beautiful brand Equipment. The shape and material (100% silk) were just perfect, but the color wasn't (too off-white for my taste). Such a bummer! Do you have any suggestions/recommendations?

Yes, I think it is fair to say that this beautiful photograph by Jak and Jil has helped nurture my growing obsession with the black PS1 leather satchel. I have been eyeing this bag for a long time. It's definitely worth the splurge and would be just perfect update for my wardrobe.

But I’m in no position to buy it now, handy as it is not available to buy anyway. But right now I am beginning to save the euros. What do you think of the PS1? Is this a timeless bag in your opinion? Or are there any 'have forever' bags that you're lusting after?

A little black dress is one of the basic wardrobe essentials. I found the most silky draped dress at Acne. This black dress may look ordinary to some of you. I tell you, this dress is anything but ordinary. The interesting cut and fabric, the concealed zip fasting and the racer back make this piece more than a simply little dress. So happy to add this perfect piece to my soon-to-be-perfect wardrobe.

I can say the same for many things in my life at the moment, my sense of style seems to be moving in a new direction, as well as my taste and general well being. I know that right now minimalism is the 'hot topic', but you will have to believe when I say that it is something I have been interested in long before it appeared in every magazine...

A couple of weeks ago I decided to get rid of all the unnecessary stuff in my room, mainly clothes, which I donated to charity and sell on diverse auction sites. Since I'm a little less confused when it comes to my style, I'm finally ready to invest in items that I know I'll wear for years. Because I realised I still managed to waste money on temporary items, when I really could have saved that money and put it towards something I love. Therefor, I'm now trying to rebuild my wardrobe. And that means:

- I have to invest in good quality items.
- Be stict by following the items on my wishlist.

So, what I want to achieve is a wardrobe with as few pieces as possible. Each piece should be loved and used equally, and it should be possible to match everything. I think that will help me on my way to minimalism. Does anyone of you have any style resolutions?

FASHIOLISTA HIGH TEA PARTY

Last Friday I went to an exclusive high tea party at the Fashiolista HQ in Amsterdam. It was a delicious high tea with cupcakes, cookies, tea and pink champagne. We also had the possibility to look inside the Fashiolista office, give them some feedback and met the Fashiolista staff and bloggers in real life. It was such a memorable, awesome and inspiring afternoon... So I really want to thank Fashiolista for that! I wish them all the best and that this fantastic fashion community will grown more and more ♥

I swear, I am so happy with this perfect find! Because some pieces will never cease to stun me. Moreover I know for sure that this particular jacket is one of the chic separated of my wardrobe. My girlfriends all know that I have a slight obsession with nail polish. I change my nail color at least once a week, usually twice. Painting my nails is a bigger part of my beauty routine than any makeup. Last week I painted my nails funky yellow for the very first time. I have already switched to a more work appropriate color, but am still lusting after that bright and sunny color. Would you sport yellow nail polish?

I don't wear this jacket as often as I should. But I actually really love it... It has the perfect shape and the silver details are amazing. After years of constant craving these boots, they are finally -FINALLY- mine! The Isabel Marant leather velvet Dicker boots in taupe. I'm so satisfied about this latest purchase... Yesterday was the official Sam Friday Initimates launch and first store opening in Amsterdam. Sam Friday is a fresh new genuine brand in intimate apparel (with a fashionable twist) for active women and men. Which is underwear, lingerie and hangout apparel such as T-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants. That evening they hit off with an amazing movie projected in theatre 'De Uitkijk' and ended with a view in the beautiful new store. I really had a blast that evening! I paired my favorite black jacket with a soft pink colored pants. In fact this is my typical attire...
